Jnr Academy 4v4

Skill. Space. Speed. Confidence.

Junior Academy

Our Junior Academy Program offers players an exciting opportunity to develop beyond the recreational level and bridge the gap to competitive academy soccer. Through energetic technical training and fast-paced festival-style games (2v2, 3v3, and 4v4), young athletes build confidence while mastering essential skills like dribbling and shooting. Led by our professional staff and guided by a club-wide curriculum, this program blends fun with skill-building for motivated young players.

·Players will practice twice a week for one hour on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursdays evenings between 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Participants can also attend trial academy skills sessions at no extra charge on Wednesday evenings. League games will be held on Saturdays or Sundays through the Texas Club Soccer League.

four corners training PHILOSOPHY

“Technical excellence, tactical intelligence, physical resilience, and strong character — the four corners pillars of complete player development.”

Technical Master (Can the player execute?)

Focus Areas: Ball mastery & control Dribbling & 1v1 moves Passing & receiving Shooting & finishing First touch under pressure Goal: Create players who are clean, confident, and comfortable on the ball in any situation.

Tactical Intelligence (Does the player understand the game?)

Teaching players how to think, not just what to do. Focus Areas: Positioning & spacing Decision making Reading the game Transition moments Team shape (7v7 → 9v9 → 11v11 progression) Goal: Develop smart players who solve problems on the field.

Physical Development (Can the player perform consistently?)

Age-appropriate athletic development is critical. Focus Areas: Agility, balance & coordination (especially U4–U8) Speed & acceleration Strength (bodyweight for youth) Endurance (soccer-specific) Injury prevention Goal: Build athletic, resilient players who can compete safely and effectively.

Psychological / Character Development (Who is the player becoming?)

This is often the separator at higher levels. Focus Areas: Confidence Resilience Competitive mindset Leadership Love of the game Goal: Develop brave, expressive, and mentally strong players who enjoy the process.

STAGE 1: DISCOVERY (Ages 4–5)

🎯 Objective: Develop love for the ball, coordination, and listening skills. 🧠 Key Focus: • Ball familiarity • Balance & coordination • Basic dribbling • Fun & imagination
⚽ Technical Themes: • Dribble with laces • Stop the ball with sole • Change direction • Basic shooting (toe or laces)

STAGE 2: EXPLORe (Ages 5–6)

A quality touch is indispensable for tactical efficiency. Soccer requires a wide range of technical movements; therefore, repeating specific actions within a game context is vital. Coaches will consistently emphasize cleantouch and proper technical execution.

FOUNDATION (Ages 6–7)

Training practices must be performed at game speed. Short periods of high-intensity work develop both technical quality and the quick decision-making skills required during a match. Reproducing this intensity during training is essential for improving overall speed and endurance.

STAGE 4: PRE-ACADEMY (Age 7)

Opposed, high-intensity practices are fundamental to developing committed and competitive athletes. Fostering these traits from an early age is an indispensable part of building successful teams.
